Dr. Van Nielen served as a general orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. Navy for five years, providing world class musculoskeletal care to active-duty service members and their dependents in Japan, Southern California, and Spain. He separated from the Navy in 2022 to complete his fellowship training in total joint replacement at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland.
