About:
"This 2-day weekend intensive focuses on refining one’s skill set in the examination, evaluation, and conservative management of those presenting with lower back pain. This in-person laboratory experience will utilize a person centered, integrative and evidenced informed approach to foster one’s clinical reasoning and decision making through discussion based and hands-on laboratory experiences. The use of a person-centered framework, a hands-on examination, individualized evaluation, and the integration of manual physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education will be emphasized. A guideline-based process will also be highlighted within an autonomous, collaborative, person-centered, and integrative framework.
By the end of the course, a successful participant will be able to:
- Conduct a patient-centered and skilled examination.
- Determine a patient-centered and integrative guideline-based diagnosis.
- Refine psychomotor relative to examination and intervention delivery.
- Prioritize intervention to maximize patient centered effectiveness and efficiency.
- Organize the skilled delivery of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education to one’s clinical skill set."
