Developed specifically to address the unique movement impairments for people with Parkinson’s disease.
The BIG therapy program is a standardized exercise approach developed from twenty years of research that has shown documented improvements in balance, trunk rotation, and step-taking. IRG therapists train patients to make larger movements with their bodies, and teach them the amount of effort required for regular moments in everyday activities.
LSVT BIG treatment takes place over the course of a single month, with four individual hour long sessions per week totaling sixteen sessions overall. Intensive protocols address the unique movement impairments of people with Parkinson’s disease, and optimize core day-to-day motions through repetition.
